Virtual Lessons
I have a tested and methodically crafted comprehensive beginning drum set course curriculum ready for the pre-production phase of video shooting. I am in the process of finding the best fit for my content. I am reaching out to a number of different virtual drum lesson services to explore which company I can collaborate with to offer my approach to building basic drum set proficiency online.
Teaching Philosophy
Every person is capable of musicianship and communicating a story through the medium of sound. Children are inherently curious, and when we remain curious as adults the world is full of opportunity and wonder. When students work slowly and mindfully they learn rapidly! Students are strongly encouraged to participate in musical ensembles where interconnected learning can inspire curiosity and give a vehicle for exploration. A fundamental approach to drum set playing enables the musician to express musical ideas without limitation.
Approach
I offer a tested and thoughtfully crafted curriculum designed to advance the student from beginner to proficient in 48 weeks. If the student is dedicated and committed to make progress and gain skill, he or she will be “band ready” in less than a year. Lessons include introduction to rock and jazz styles, hand and foot technique fundamentals, coordination, music theory, and snare drum solo skills.
